Dr. Sangwan has been teaching in the  English Departments of various constituent colleges of the University of Delhi since 2008. Her experience in the academic domain is preceded by five years of experience in the corporate sector where she worked for Group Usha and Maruti Udyog Ltd. post her PGDBM in 1999. This experience significantly contributed to her doctoral thesis where she explores the circulations of American imperialisms and neoliberal ideology in the novels of Salman Rushdie published post-1999. Dr. Sangwan has also published papers in national and international journals.
